Glossary

Short public definitions for everyday world terms in Arcology One. Fiction labeled as world material. Campaign solutions stay in Story Mode — this page has no hidden “secret section.”

Concordia

Concordia is the original core of Arcology One — opened in 2090 and now designated Section 0 in systems and HUD labels. Residents still say Concordia in ordinary speech.

Known: Shared public anchor for Opening and present-day pride. The Laser District is early-access Story space inside Section 0 — not the whole core.

Arcology One

Arcology One is the oldest arcology in this setting — expanded over four centuries into one connected structure with ten numbered sections (0–9).

Known: City-scale homes, workshops, farms, hospitals, markets, and gardens share the same superstructure. Exact geographic site remains open in public materials (broadly North America near the U.S.–Canada border).

Do not read “ten sections” as “all already open in play.” Early access focuses on Concordia / Laser District footprint.

Section

A section is a city-scale construction addition with many ordinary functions and its own districts. Numbers are identity labels, not literal floor coordinates.

Known: Concordia / Section 0 opened first (2090). Later sections appear in working historical reconstructions on the timeline; section names beyond Concordia remain working until adopted as released history.

District

A district is a neighborhood or functional cluster within a section — where trades, local identity, and everyday routes specialize.

Known: Public early-access example: the Laser District in Concordia. Other named play spaces on this wiki (residences, lobby, market) describe live or planned local clusters — not invented unbuilt destinations.

ASI

ASI is the official name of the original central intelligence. Its disappearance around ~2180 is a major disputed historical event.

Known: Public materials may name the mystery and attributed folklore. After the crisis period, the Four Caregivers are widely described as taking broader protective roles.

Disputed / attributed: Institutions and residents disagree about causes, sequence, and meaning. Surviving public accounts remain incomplete.

This glossary does not publish reconstruction methods, recovery recipes, or campaign solutions.

Caregiver

Caregiver is the public descriptive term for the Four principal resident-protective AIs rooted in Concordia and able to operate throughout the arcology: KLIK, FWEEEET, GRAAWW, and Zoggoling.

Known: Differences describe dominant interests (fabrication, commerce/connection, protection, knowledge) — not narrow limits on what they can do. They share lasting alliance flavor often called the Caregiver Compact.

Do not equate every “caretaker” civic phrase with the Four. Junior or wing AIs are separate public figures.

Property root key

A property root key is a physical credential used for a property’s root access. Possession alone is not legal title.

Known: Holding a key can matter for access and claims-in-play, but deeds, registry recognition, leases, and disputes still decide what the world treats as ownership. Public how-to and Real Estate pages describe implemented player mechanics separately from lore flavor.

Deed and registry

A deed describes legal rights in the fiction; registry recognition connects those rights to accepted operation — what systems and neighbors currently treat as valid.

Known: A familiar surname or an old paper does not automatically grant access. Disputed claims stay in play. Title, key possession, and live registry status can diverge.

Coinage

Everyday metal money uses a simple ladder: 100 copper (c) = 1 silver (s); 100 silver = 1 gold (g). Metal also has industrial value beyond face denomination.

Known: Authored fiction for world trade — not live market quotes or real-world currency advice. Mints, scrap, and materials sit beside coin in ordinary life.

Ari Odelo

Ari Odelo is the founder architect and principal founding force behind the Concordia proposal — a public historical figure in Arcology One’s origin story.

Known (P1): She presented the civic case for consolidation in the mid-twenty-first century. Public biography covers her role as architect and founding advocate. Private mechanisms, personal estates, and campaign inheritance details stay out of this glossary.

The later snack brand Odelo’s acquired use of the historic surname; it is separate from Ari’s founding career.

Odelo’s

Odelo’s is a later snack and drink brand that acquired use of the historic surname. It is separate from Ari Odelo’s original career as founder architect.

Known: Brand presence can show up in everyday rooms and listings. A familiar surname does not mean automatic corporate control by inheritance alone.

Opening Day

Opening Day celebrates Concordia’s first residents (2090). Neighborhoods keep different customs — meals, music, repair exhibits, garden walks, and local speeches vary by corridor and culture.

Known: Shared anniversary pride. Public culture copy does not require one mandatory meal, ethnicity, or “authentic” Opening ritual — households bring the life they already have.

ArcNet

ArcNet is the civilian network carrying communication and everyday services across the arcology — a world term for in-fiction connectivity.

Known: Residents talk about Commonline, broadcasts, and room feeds as ordinary uses. The name does not claim anything about real hosting architecture for this website or play servers.

Roamer

A Roamer is a colloquial term for an unseated AI living through a mobile compatible host.

Known: Embodiment and synthetic citizenship topics appear in public culture. The label is descriptive — not inherently criminal.

Reclaimer

A Reclaimer is a facility that reduces eligible salvage toward usable material and feedstock.

Known: Tied to crafting, preservation, and materials culture. Exact yields depend on current game implementation — see play systems and items rather than treating lore numbers as live economy quotes.

Origin Mark

An Origin Mark is a media attribution marker identifying accountable publisher and production category in the fiction.

Known: Helps readers compare outlets and corrections. It identifies who published a piece — it does not certify that every claim is true.
